Support Our Cause

CGOA operates on the generosity of individuals, private foundations, and through funds raised at our special events. Special events provide exciting opportunities for you to enjoy a great experience while providing the funds needed to provide life-enhancing experiences to others. Check our main annual events and sign up today.  CGOA’s annual auction includes a lively program and auction, raising nearly 1/4 of the organization’s operating budget. This typically occurs the first of October.

The Cache Valley Century Ride is a 30, 60, or 100 mile cycling events. This occurs each year 2 weeks before LoToJa beginning and ending in Richmond, Utah. All funds raised support CGOA’s adaptive cycling program.

Hunt the Beav is a newer event that includes a scavenger hunt  around the ski area at Beaver Mountain. This event was developed to fund CGOA’s ski program. This year’s date is Februar y 29th, 2020!  Follow the Hunt the Beav page to sign up for this fun and exciting event!

We are always in need of copy paper, ink cartridges, pens and other office supplies. Your contributions help us offset administrative expenses.

Auction Items

All fundraising events include silent or live auctions. Your in-kind donation is a great way to market your business and help us raise needed funds.

Recreation Equipment

Adaptive and non-adaptive recreation equipment is constantly changing and  wearing out. We need things like tents, sleeping bags, helmets, camp chairs on a regular basis. We have an ongoing list of adaptive bike and ski needs that range in cost up to $8,000. Check with our staff to see what is currently needed.

Food/Pantry Items

Donations of dry goods such as bread, pasta, canned goods, paper towels, dish soap, fresh vegetables, meat products, snacks and so on are used to offset program costs. We welcome your contributions throughout the year. Gift cards to local grocery stores are also very helpful.

How to help

Bring by items to either of our offices during business hours. For a current list you can contact us or check out this wishlist on amazon. Gift cards are another great way to contribute. The most beneficial cards are those to local grocery stores, home improvement stores and gas stations.

Hi, I'm Alex, the Program Director at CGOA!
For the past two years I have been wanting to complete a ½ marathon. This year I was going to sign up for an organized run for motivation, but then all events were canceled due to the quarantine. CGOA has decided to put on a race in June not only to help me with my goals, but as a wayto raise money in order to continue programming after this crisis. I invite you and all of your friends to join me to complete your own personal challenges as I attempt to complete mine!  Walk, run, or roll whatever distance you choose. As a participant in this challenge you will receive an event sticker, a letter of completion from our participants, as well as group communication and motivation on our facebook page. I will be posting my own milestones and challenges; I encourage each of you to do the same. If interested, you can share your route, total mileage, and completion time to our facebook page.  Although we can’t gather together, we can still rally together as a community.
Common Ground Outdoor Adventures is a non-profit organization in Northern, Utah that provides life-enhancing outdoor recreation for youths and adults with disabilities. At CGOA we are committed to an inclusive environment. We want to do all we can to remove barriers and enhance people’s lives through recreational experiences, while reducing the stereotypes society has about people with disabilities. During these times of COVID-19 we are doing everything we can to stay in communication with our clients to encourage them to stay happy and healthy during these trying times.
Please help us continue our mission by joining and sharing this event!
