CGOA operates on the generosity of individuals, private foundations, and through funds raised at our special events. Special events provide exciting opportunities for you to enjoy a great experience while providing the funds needed to provide life-enhancing experiences to others. Check our main annual events and sign up today. CGOA’s annual auction includes a lively program and auction, raising nearly 1/4 of the organization’s operating budget. This typically occurs the first of October.
The Cache Valley Century Ride is a 30, 60, or 100 mile cycling events. This occurs each year 2 weeks before LoToJa beginning and ending in Richmond, Utah. All funds raised support CGOA’s adaptive cycling program.
Hunt the Beav is a newer event that includes a scavenger hunt around the ski area at Beaver Mountain. This event was developed to fund CGOA’s ski program. Follow the Hunt the Beav page to sign up for this fun and exciting event!
Common Ground Outdoor Adventures Cards with a Cause is a beloved local fundraiser. We have teamed up with local artist Jerry Fuhriman and Square One Printing to bring you over 20 scenes from the Cache Valley area. As all of the materials are donated, 100% of the proceeds benefit Common Ground’s programs.
We are always in need of copy paper, ink cartridges, pens and other office supplies. Your contributions help us offset administrative expenses.
All fundraising events include silent or live auctions. Your in-kind donation is a great way to market your business and help us raise needed funds.
Adaptive and non-adaptive recreation equipment is constantly changing and wearing out. We need things like tents, sleeping bags, helmets, camp chairs on a regular basis. We have an ongoing list of adaptive bike and ski needs that range in cost up to $8,000. Check with our staff to see what is currently needed.
Donations of dry goods such as bread, pasta, canned goods, paper towels, dish soap, fresh vegetables, meat products, snacks and so on are used to offset program costs. We welcome your contributions throughout the year. Gift cards to local grocery stores are also very helpful.
Bring by items to either of our offices during business hours. For a current list you can contact us or check out this wishlist on amazon. Gift cards are another great way to contribute. The most beneficial cards are those to local grocery stores, home improvement stores and gas stations.
